PSB Gears Up for PAASCU Resurvey Visit

Philippine School Bahrain gears up with renewed vigor and commitment to excellence as it prepares for another milestone in a resurvey visit by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU) on March 24-25.

The PAASCU鈥檚 visiting Team of Accreditors will be composed of the following:

    1. Ms. Mary Ann Eala – Member, PAASCU Commission on Basic Education
    1. Ms. Ma. Cristina Santos – Director, Center for Excellence, Colegio San Agustin Makati City
    1. Dr. Jesse Balinas – Member, PAASCU Commission on Basic Education
    1. Mr. Clifford Esteban – Principal, St. Joseph鈥檚 College of Quezon City
    1. Dr. Monina Manalang – Associate Vice President for Student Services and Affairs, Holy Angel University, Angeles City
    1. Ms. Rose Asoy – PAASCU Representative

The evaluation will focus on eight key areas prescribed by PAASCU: (1) Leadership and Governance, (2) Quality Assurance, (3) Resource Management, (4) Teaching and Learning, (5) Student Services, (6) Community and External Relationships, (7) Research Culture, and (8) Results.

鈥淲e are gearing towards the PAASCU accreditation because we are confident it can evaluate our status and give assurance to our stakeholders, students, and parents that we are on par with their standards and show our global competitiveness,鈥 said Mr. Glenn Raz, Head of Student Affairs, on the topic of the PAASCU visit.

PSB was accredited Level 2 in 2019. The school is now working towards Level 3 accreditation. As part of the process, PSB conducted self-surveys and assessments using the PAASCU standards and criteria. The upcoming visit will verify these assessments through an on-site review on March 24-25, 2025.

PSB also conducted an institutional review and evaluation with feedback and participation of the students, staff, parents, alumni, and Board of Directors as part of the preparation for the PAASCU resurvey visit to the school Basic Education program.

Kaugnay pa rin ng selebrasyon na may temang 鈥淔ilipino, Wikang Mapagpalaya鈥, ang programa ay nagsilbing daan upang maipamalas sa iba鈥檛 ibang larangan ang paggamit ng wika.

Sa timpalak sa paghahanay ng paksa, nagwagi saSenior Categoryng una at ikalawang puwesto ang mga gurong sina G. Marvin C. Dallego at G. Gabriel Angelo C. Alunday. Sa听mga mag-aaral听naman, nakamit nina Marie Aliyah E. Ante, Samantha Airelle P. Sta. Isabel, at Mikaella Denyse S. Valencia ang una, ikalawa at ikatlong puwesto sa听Junior Category听ng nasabing patimpalak.

Si Gng. Melinda L. Nomananap, Tagapamahala ng Asignaturang Filipino, ay naglahad ng isang masining na pagkukuwento ng 鈥淧uso ng IsangOFW鈥. Nagpamalas naman ng tanghal-tula na pinamagatang 鈥淟ipad, Wika, Lipad!鈥 si Reign Yra M. Fernandez. Samantala, naghandog ang PSB Chorale, sa pamamahala ni G. Glenn D. Raz, Tagapamahala ng Ugnayang Pangmag-aaral,ng isang katutubong awit na pinamagatang 鈥淎y, Ay, Ay, O, Pag-ibig!鈥.

Isa sa pinakatampok na bahagi ng palatuntunan ay ang Tagisan ng Talino na nilahukan ng dalawang pangkat ng mga mag-aaral mula sa ikalima hanggang ikawalong baitang. Nagwagi ang pangkat na binubuo nina Jian Matthew L. Murillo, Francheska Louise S. Lampero, Axl John C. Artillaga, at Myles Pauline B. La Pastora bilang kampeon, habang nasa unang gantimpala naman ang pangkat nina Roshan Yvonne Dionson, Eduard Matteus L. Tangug, Byul G. Kim, at Aybil Eileen F. Paraiso.

Sa pangwakas na bahagi, tumanggap ang mga nagwagi at lahat ng mga kalahok sa iba鈥檛 ibang patimpalak ng medalya at sertipiko ng pagkilala. Ginawaran din ng sertipiko ng pasasalamat ang 91传媒在线观看 para sa pakikiisa nito sa programa ng pasuguan. Ang nasabing sertipiko ay tinanggap ni Bb. Gydabelle B. Naval, ang Punongguro ng Paaralan.

Matagumpay na naisakatuparan ang paggunita sa Buwan ng Wika sa pamamagitan ng mga gawaing kaugnay ng pagdiriwang. Bakas sa mga mukha ng mga nagsidalong mga panauhin, kabilang na ang mga magulang ng mga mag-aaral na bahagi ng programa, ang pagmamahal at pagmamalaki sa sariling pagkakakilanlan bilang mga Pilipino. Hindi lamang naging kalugud-lugod, ngunit higit na makabuluhan ang programa, lalo pa鈥檛 ipinamalas ang paggamit sa sariling wika ng mga Pilipino na nasa ibang bansa.

DFA Delegation Visits 91传媒在线观看, Strengthening Ties with Overseas Filipino Community

A delegation from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) visited the 91传媒在线观看 (PSB) on August 18, 2024, engaging with the local Filipino Community and underscoring the importance of maintaining strong ties with overseas Filipinos.

The delegation, led by Mr. Lemuel C. Lopez, Acting Director of the Office of Migration Affairs (OMA), included Mr. Raymundo C. Ondiano, Assistance-to-Nationals Officer of the Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Affairs (OUMA); Mr. Carlo Jejomar Pascual P. Sanchez, Principal Assistant of the Office of the Middle East and African Affairs (OMEAA); Ms. Maricar D. Tuazon, Assistance-to-Nationals Officer of OUMA; and Ms. Evelyn S. Xavier Jr., Assistance-to-Nationals Officer of OUMA.

The DFA delegation was joined by HE Ambassador Anne Jalando-on Louis, Consul Bryan Jess T. Baguio, and Ms. Lucia C. Ramierz. The PSB Board of Directors, led by Chairman Reuel C. Castro, together with the school administrators, teachers, staff, and students warmly welcomed them.

The delegation was given a tour of the school grounds, where they had the opportunity to meet with students and faculty, gaining insights on the educational experiences of Filipino youth in Bahrain. The visit highlighted the DFA鈥檚 ongoing commitment to supporting Filipinos abroad and ensuring their welfare, as well as strengthening the cultural and educational ties between the Philippines and the Filipino community in Bahrain.
